Minimum Merchant Service Fee: If your 1.6% transaction fees for the month total less than $30 (i.e., less than $1875 transacted per month), you’ll pay $30 for that portion instead.

No, all HaloPay subscription payments are processed via direct debit (e.g., credit card or saved bank account details) using Stripe, a highly secure and globally trusted payment provider. We do not support payment-on-invoice or manual bank transfers.

The 30-day money-back guarantee begins on the day we activate the HaloPay module for your pharmacy.

This activation typically occurs about two weeks after you submit your onboarding forms (after account verification and setup by Till Payments has been completed) and marks the start of your subscription, at which point the first year’s fee is charged.

Whenever you send a payment request to a patient or customer, we automatically calculate the total amount to include transaction fees.

For example, for a $100 transaction, the payment request would show $101.90, calculated as follows:

  • $100.00 for the item
  • $1.60 to cover the 1.6% transaction fee
  • $0.30 to cover the flat $0.30 transaction fee
  • Total: $101.90

When Till Payments deposits funds into your pharmacy’s bank account daily, they automatically deduct the 1.6% portion of the transaction fees. The $0.30 per transaction fee is collected separately on a monthly basis via direct debit.

Till Payments requires a minimum of $30 per month from your pharmacy to support their payment infrastructure for HaloPay. The 1.6% transaction fee (on-charged to patients and customers) contributes toward this minimum. However, the $0.30 per transaction fee is separate and does not count toward the $30 minimum.

If your pharmacy processes at least $1,875 in transactions during a month, the 1.6% fees will naturally cover the $30 minimum (as $1,875 × 1.6% = $30).

If your total transactions for the month are less than $1,875, Till Payments will apply the MMSF to make up the difference.

Example:

  • If your total monthly transactions amount to $1,562.50, your 1.6% fees will equal $25.
  • Till Payments will debit an additional $5 at the end of the month to meet the $30 minimum.

This ensures that the total Merchant Service Fees for the 1.6% portion always meet or exceed $30 per month.
